For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the operator named above is the data controller for this website.

2. The most important thing first: your tool inputs stay local

All tools on ToolWisp — converters, calculators, generators — run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. This means:

• Images, text, files and numbers you enter into a tool are not uploaded to our servers and are not stored, logged or shared by us.
• Processing happens on your own device; closing the tab discards your inputs.
• We do not require an account, registration, or any personal details to use the tools.

3. Data we do process

3.1 Server log files

When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records technical access data, typically: IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This is standard for virtually every website and is used for security, stability and abuse prevention. Log data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted according to our hosting provider's retention schedule.

3.2 Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display advertising served by Google AdSense, a service of Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) and, for users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

Google and its certified advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and device identifiers) to serve ads, measure their performance, prevent fraud, and — where you have consented — personalize ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info (US) and www.youronlinechoices.eu (EU).

Legal basis under GDPR: personalized advertising and the associated cookies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can give or refuse via the consent banner shown on your first visit, and change or withdraw at any time via the "Privacy settings" link in the footer or your browser settings. Non-personalized ads may rely on legitimate interest with limited data use, as described in the consent banner.

Data transferred to Google may be processed on servers in the United States. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; transfers are additionally safeguarded by standard contractual clauses where required.

3.3 Contact

If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message solely to answer your inquiry. This data is not shared with third parties and is deleted once your request has been resolved, unless statutory retention duties apply. Legal basis under GDPR: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f).

4. Cookies and consent

ToolWisp itself does not set tracking cookies. Cookies used on this site come from the advertising services described above. On your first visit from a region where consent is required (including the EEA, UK and Switzerland), you will see a consent banner where you can accept, refuse or customize the use of cookies for advertising. You can revisit and change your choice at any time.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies does not affect the functionality of our tools.

5. Your rights under the GDPR (EEA/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to:

• Access (Art. 15) — a copy of personal data we hold about you;
• Rectification (Art. 16) — correction of inaccurate data;
• Erasure (Art. 17) — deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten");
• Restriction of processing (Art. 18);
• Data portability (Art. 20);
• Objection (Art. 21) — in particular to processing based on legitimate interest;
• Withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3));
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your residence (Art. 77).

6. Your rights under US state privacy laws (including CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut or Utah), the following applies:

• The categories of personal information processed in connection with this site are limited to: internet activity and device identifiers (log data) and, via advertising partners, cookie and advertising identifiers.
• We do not knowingly collect names, contact details, financial information or other sensitive data through this site, and we do not sell personal information for money.
• However, the use of third-party advertising cookies may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. You have the right to opt out of such sharing.
• To opt out: use the consent/privacy settings link in the footer, enable a recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser, or use the Google opt-out links in section 3.2.
• You also have the rights to know, delete and correct personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

Requests can be sent to info@toolwisp.com. We will verify requests to a reasonable degree and respond within the statutory deadlines.

7. Canada (PIPEDA)

For visitors from Canada, we process personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and substantially similar provincial laws. In short: we collect only the minimal technical data described above, advertising cookies are used with your knowledge and consent as expressed through the consent banner and your browser settings, and you may request access to or correction of personal information we hold by contacting info@toolwisp.com. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada with concerns.

8. Children

This site is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age required in your jurisdiction, e.g. 16 in parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads served on this site are not personalized where consent requirements for minors cannot be met.

9. Data security

The site is served over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Because tools run locally and we operate no user database, the attack surface for your personal data on our side is minimal by design.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or in the services we use. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be visible on this page.
